The Preamble

"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

We the citizens of the United States of America, in order to better govern the country we love, protect and encourage keeping peace within our country's borders, defend our nation as a team of states, advocate for every American's best interest, protect our hard-earned rights of freedom and liberty, approve and provide this Constitution for every citizen of the United States of America."

No one can sum up the Preamble better than School House Rock, in my opinion. They summarize why the document was written in plain English so even children can understand, and the tune is so catchy the 52 words are actually easy to memorize.
